It's been a busy twelve months for Lauren Ray as she continues to promote her excellent debut album "We Will Need Courage". It has seen her undertake forays into Europe and just recently she completed a 30 date nationwide tour supporting Lucy Spraggan. To close out the year we have her latest single which is a good companion piece to the album.
It is an upbeat, tune detailing that there are 2 days in your life that really matter. The first being the day you are born, and we get that detailed from time of arrival to what the weather was like outside!.
The second day is a slightly movable feast, based around the same theme which is finding your true love, and realising that time spent apart from them hurts.
It is a feel good single and ideally suited for coming out at this time of year, Lauren sounds in fine voice and we'll be looking forward to seeing more new songs forom her in 2018, Instrumentally it sound deceptively simple, a gentle drum beat and acoustic guitar mixing with keyboards to give a beautifully warm feeling.
The song is also available in a piano only version which gives an idea of what it would sound like if you were to see Lauren perform in concert, It also comes with a video that could easily be used by the London Tourist Board as it sees Lauren at a variety of eminently visitable sites in London.
