LIVE PREVIEW - THE ROUND UP - HOSTED BY TWO WAYS HOME

THE ROUND UP - HOSTED BY TWO WAYS HOME

It must have been very frustrating over the years for those not living within a commuting distance of London to hear of #TEAMw21's adventures each month at Two Ways Home Round Up. It was an event that always punched well above it's weight with high profile American artists making their UK debuts in this marvellous stripped back arena as well as offering new UK artists their first outing in front of a London crowd.

It was a place where artists might try out something new that you may only ever hear performed once or it could be the first airing of a song that will go on to be the mainstay of their catalogue. #TEAMw21 are still waiting for Kaity Rae to release "Somebody Else's Problem" a great song that still sticks in the memory many years later.

Over the years the venue altered as the event grew but one thing that never changed was the consistent high quality of the evening - you would always leave fully satisfied, often carrying a CD of your next favourite artist!

The Songwriters Round format is by now familiar to all and similar events are run by The Jackson Line & Gasoline & Matches and Gary Quinn in their respective areas of the country, all of which equally deserve your support but now for the second time the "Round Up" is hitting the road giving those outside of London a chance to see what all the fuss is about.

Hosted by Lewis & Isy ( Two Ways Home ) there is always likely to be a good level of banter, and a degree of interaction between artists which is the key to a really successful round, whether it be an additional guitar line or some backing harmonies, it all adds to the uniqueness of the event.

THE ROUND UP - HOSTED BY TWO WAYS HOME

Two Ways Home have a repertoire which is worth the price of admission alone, and as each night is guaranteed to be different as the artists rotate. The list of people playing is impressive and even those you don't know today you'll probably know in the upcoming months.

Edinburgh boasts the talents of the Robyn Red and the back on the scene Raintown who were superb on their most recent tour.

Holmfirth has both Joe Martin and Katy Hurt - no spoilers but we've seen Joe & Katy together and the results were magnificent.

London has the talents of Simeon Hammond Dallas - with a new EP on the way and having already released one of the best singles of the year in "Before I Die"

Of the names that may seem less familiar - Alex Hart is often to be found playing with Seth Lakeman and has a fine solo catalogue, Kier was one of our Buckle & Boots recommendations having produced a fantastic album,

In fact throw a dart at any name on the board and you'll hit musical gold

If there was a #TEAMw21 Seal of Approval - We would place it on this particular evening - Go book a ticket now!!!
