Who To Catch At Long Road - Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse - With Stage Times

Writer's picture: CHRIS FARLIECHRIS FARLIE

But for being across town at The Green Note we would surely have been at The Half Moon Putney furthering our pre Festival research into Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse.

Immediately capturing our attention with their name, they then went on to capturing our hearts with their music that swiftly catapulted them onto our list of must sees across the upcoming weekend.

Take "Fill Me Up" an immediate hit of urgent guitar riffs and drums that than then explodes into an insistent rocking rawkus chorus with suitably upfront vocals.

Equally the soulful blues of "Don't Let The Bastards Drag You Down" with its sweeping organ sound and plaintive vocals might be more to your liking.

In fact every track we dipped into was compelling "Heartbreaker" was another blend of loud guitar, a rich keyboard sound and distinct vocals and their latest live album, ( recorded in the UK ) shows them as being more than able to replicate their sound on stage - all that we are missing now is the visual element which we'll get to see at The Long Road Festival.

Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse Play Saturday 26th at Buddy's Good Time Bar 13:40
