The last time we caught up with Jim Lauderdale was in 2017 and he was playing solo supporting Brandy Clark in Milton Keynes, He was plugging his excellent album "London Southern" and put in a sterling if all too brief performance. With 35 albums under his belt and songs covered by the likes of George Strait, My Darling Clementine, Blake Shelton, the Dixie Chicks & Vince Gill to name but a few, he hardly needs us to blow his trumpet but we'll do it anyway!
His latest album "Game Changer" suggests we could be in for some pure country of the highest order
Fans of Nick Lowe or Elvis Costello will find a kindred spirit in Jim who has a most affable and charming stage presence - and he proved to be equally good company offstage after his performance - a true gent!!
